It’s safe to say that this season hasn’t really gone the way Wout Van Aert might have liked. After he’s had all the bad luck in 2024, he’s been preparing to kick off 2025 boiling hot, and even though he looked very good in some occasions, there’s been almost nothing but disappointment so far for the Belgian. He was in the position to win a race countless times, but things never went his way, and in the end, it seemed like just a little something got in the way between him, and everyone saying “Wout Van Aert is back”. One of his biggest tasks for 2025 is the Giro d’Italia, and even though he hasn’t proved to be the number one favorite just yet, Wout really wants that pink jersey. But is he strong enough to actually get it this year, and what’s going on with the Wout we’re used to seeing?
