Steep is an open—world sports simulator (extreme sports) computer game developed by the French studio Ubisoft Annecy and published by Ubisoft. 2
The game was announced on June 14 at E3 2016 and released on December 2, 2016 on Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. 2
The game takes place in the central Alps, where the player is invited to participate in several disciplines of extreme winter sports. Skiing and snowboarding, paragliding and flying in wingsuits are available to the player. 2
With later updates, mountain locations in Alaska, Japan, and Korea became available, and rocket-powered wingsuit flying, sledding, base jumping, and speedgliding were included as additional sports. 2
Despite the presence of a single-player game, Steep pays great attention to multiplayer, where players compete online in various sports.
