I recently attended this year’s National Running Show and caught up with Harry Bolton to chat about Ronhill’s brand new trail running shoes for 2026. He gave me a first look at the exciting Ronhill Reverence SL, a lightweight and aggressive trail shoe designed specifically for wet, muddy and technical terrain, featuring deep 7mm lugs for maximum grip and control underfoot.

In this video I give you a full overview of Ronhill’s latest trail running option, covering fit, cushioning, grip and who I think the shoe is best suited for. Then I lace them up and take them out for a proper first run test on a very challenging section of the stunning Cornish Coast Path.

If you’re looking for a trail running shoe for UK conditions, winter trail running, fell running or slippery coastal paths, this could be a really interesting option.
