Welcome back to R and M LAB GH! 🛠️
Today we launch a brand new series: R and M Inside, where we literally go "inside" devices to understand how they work and why they fail.
In this video, we investigate a double-pole magnetic-thermal circuit breaker that stopped working, cutting power to a water pump and the entire electrical line. We’ll drill it open to find the "culprit": a broken plastic linkage that caused an internal electric arc, burning the copper contacts.
What’s in this video:
✅ Continuity test using a multimeter.
✅ Difference between Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC).
✅ Technical Teardown and failure analysis.
✅ Salvaging valuable materials (Copper, springs, and pins) for future projects.
Safety first: remember that circuit breakers cannot be repaired, they must be replaced! However, opening them is the best way to learn.
