Here's one for those who had requested for my kek lapis rempah / lapis original recipe. If you've tried my kek lapis durian recipe, then this shouldn't be far from it. Watch here for a more detailed video with tips and about oven temperature and modes for making kek lapis.

Usually, I like to use Golden Churn butter in can to make this kek lapis. Its rich and tastier but for the purpose of this video, I will just use the chilled Golden Churn butter. Some say that Wijsman butter is best for these traditional kek lapis. Premium taste with premium price but personally I have never tried Wijsman butter. Preheat oven for 10-15mins (Temp or mode will depends on which oven you use)

\\ Ingredients
600g     butter
150g     condensed milk
23         egg yolk
5           egg whites
230g     castor sugar
150g     plain flour
4tsp cake spice/rempah kek
30g       ovalette
1/4tsp   salt
45g       water
1tsp vanilla essence
