SMR Shaft-Mounted Helical Gear Reducer
Shaft-mounted gear reducers offer a very convenient method of use, as they can be directly mounted onto the drive shaft of the equipment. This eliminates the need to fix the reducer to a foundation or other base, thus reducing the need for one or two flexible couplings and internal belt tensioning devices. The belt tension can be easily and quickly adjusted using the screw mechanism on the torque arm.
The SMR series shaft-mounted reducers come in 8 models, from B to J, with a maximum power of up to 130KW. Nominal speed ratios are 5:1, 13:1, and 20:1, and various output speeds can be achieved by selecting different input pulleys.
The reducer is lubricated with standard lubricating oil, or equivalent synthetic oil can also be used.
