We documented our trip to UBC Hospital where my husband underwent deep brain stimulation surgery. The hope is that this procedure will provide relief from the symptoms of blepharospasm.
There are a lot of videos of people who have had this surgery for Parkinson's disease and other forms of dystonia, but we wanted to shed some light on it being used for blepharospasm (aka "eye dystonia").
Special thank you to Dr. Stefan Lang who is based at the DBS Clinic in Vancouver, BC. Also, big thank you to all the medical staff at UBC Hospital for taking such good care of my husband.
