In 2007, Tokyo DisneySea decided to hold a special event centered around Valentine’s Day. This event was called “Season of the Heart,” which lasted for two years since it was last held in 2008. In 2007, two new offerings were offered to guests. A new mini-show was held on the Lidio Isle of Mediterranean Harbor. This show was called Sweetheart Romance and featured some of your favorite Disney characters and even had a chance for guests to participate. This show returned the following year in 2008 with a few differences but had a similar plot. This show was relocated to Mickey Square and there was the removal of the “Port Discovery scientists plot”. Instead there was more guest participation, and this version also featured Tokyo DisneySea Maritime Band in the show.
Fun Facts:
The main theme “Season of the Heart” was later used in “Valentine Nights.”
The main theme is still used to this very day for Disney Royal Fairytale Wedding receptions held at Tokyo DisneySea park.
