In this webinar, leading thinkers come together to discuss an article on facial recognition technology, originally presented at the Data for Policy Conference and recently published in the open-access journal Data & Policy.
Karen Yeung (University of Birmingham, UK) and Wenlong Li (Zhejiang University, China) focus on live facial recognition technology trials conducted by European law enforcement agencies between 2016 and 2020, producing a series of comparative case studies.
Joined by Pete Fussey (University of Southampton, UK), whose research explores the human rights implications of advanced surveillance and policing technologies, listen in to their engaging discussion on this important topic.
