How to change the passenger side transmission output seal in a 2001 Volkswagen Passat B5.5 chassis. The procedure should be the same for all of the B5.5 Passats and possibly the B5 Passats as well. It may also be the same for Audi cars with the 5hp-19 transmission. I forgot to mention that I did use a hammer in conjuction with the bolt and seal driver to make sure that the seal went in evenly.

OH, and pulling the CV axle first is always helpful. Lol
You do need a new cv axle bolt, as the old one is one time use only. Part number for that is 4B0407643A, and torque it correctly with a torque wrench, because the wheel bearing will go bad prematurely if you don't.
Someone mentioned a very good point in the comments, the front differential uses separate oil from the transmission. It is a separate reservoir that takes 75w90 GL-5 Gear Oil. I made a follow up video to address that.
