A lack of rotate tool in the FreeCAD Sketch Workbench may be seen as a glaring oversight by some people but the Software Engineers has not included for a reason which is pretty obvious. It doesn't mean that you can't rotate geometry or objects in a sketch. Follow this video and you will discover the reasons why and how you can fix the constraints of your sketch to allow you to rotate your geometry.
