Trane Perfect Fit air cleaner cabinets use a unique 5″ expandable filtration system designed for whole-house air cleaning. In this video, we explain how the Trane Perfect Fit system works and what to know when replacing your filter media.

How the Trane Perfect Fit System Works

Unlike traditional 5″ filters, Trane Perfect Fit systems use:

A reusable plastic frame

A replaceable expandable accordion media pack that installs inside the frame

The replaceable media packs are:

BAYFTAHEXM2 - for Air Handler applications
BAYFTFREXM2 - for Furnace applications

These media packs expand to fill the frame and provide high-efficiency filtration while maintaining proper airflow.

⚠️ Important:
The plastic Trane Perfect Fit frame is required and must be reused. The expandable media packs will not work on their own without the frame.
