How to File Employer Professional Tax Returns?
All individuals registered under the Professional Tax Act has to submit a return (Form V) every month to the assessing authority depicting the salaries paid and the amount of tax deducted from the wages.

The return can be made by a treasury challan/ DD/ Cheque/ e-payment on the full amount of tax due on or before the 10th day of every month for which the return should be filed and can be done online as well.

Process of Filing Employer Professional Tax Returns:
Filing professional returns is easy once you get the hang of it, and you can complete the returns from the comfort of your office. But, before you begin, you need to ensure you have completed the registration formalities and have your registration number handy. This Professional Tax Identification Number is called as “PTIN”.

Step-by-step guide on how to file your employer professional tax returns:
= Start by locating the official state website to file professional tax through online by entering ‘Professional tax login’ followed by the name of your city and state
= Visit the Telangana Commercial Taxes Department website.
= On the Commercial Taxes website, under Online Dealer Services, select Existing Dealer and click on PTax Login.
= PTIN: Enter your Professional Tax Registration Number
= Password: Enter your Professional Tax Password
= Verification Code: Enter the verification code, shown above and click on Submit Button
= Professional Tax Registered Portal: Professional Tax registered portal will open with different tabs.
= Returns: Now click on the returns tab. After clicking on Returns tab, 2 options will come which are Yearly and Monthly.
= Period: Select the period as Monthly for Employees and Yearly for Employers or Company.
= Slabs in Table: A new table will be popped with slabs and fields. Here we need to fill the number of employees, whose PT is deducted for that specific month.
= Submit: After filling the details, click on the submit button
= Reports: Select the Reports Tab and click on Return Reports. After clicking on Returns tab, 2 options will come which are Yearly and Monthly. Choose monthly and click on the Return ID.
= This will take you to another window with PT Return Report (Form-V)
= After generating the return report, remember to save for future reference.
