Line 3 Moncloa Switchback (Serie 3000) @ Metro de Madrid, Spain

Описание: In todays video we will be taking a look at Serie 3000 trains switching back to service at Moncloa with the 2 platforms operating simultaniously. The Serie 3000 is the "latest" model of train for the "galibo estrecho" lines in Metro de Madrid (L1,2,3,4,5,R). These trains were built to replace the old Serie 2000 trains (which are still in circulation in lines 1 and 5). The Serie 3000 trains are all equipped with open-gangway design as well as air conditioning and accessible-friendly features (e.g.: The doors in the first carriage of the train will always open automatically, with no need to press the button to actionate them. These will also emit a continuos alternating beeping sound for blind people to hear, in order to bord the train). The Serie 3000 were revolutionary trains and have really nice design in general.

Serie 3000 trains in L3 are formed of 6-car compositions (MRSSRM). This line was redone entirely to be completely accessible and to handle 6-car trains (it previously could only run 4-car trains). This took places during 2 years (mainly) in the 2008's. The refurbishment included complete track remodeling, the lengthen of platforms, full accessibility & the construction of brand new stations in the south, extending the line to Villaverde Alto. They are now extending the line further south to El Casar (L12 & Cercanías Renfe).

Some of the trains in this line, have been modified to work at dual-voltage 1500Vcc & 600Vcc for them to operate in L5. This is because L3 is powered by 1500Vcc and L5 by 600Vcc.

The animation at the bottom and the station display animations were made entirely by me (the font, the backpannel...).
