Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at the SmartPlug RV Power Cord. Now, this 30-amp SmartPlug Power Cord is designed to give your RV a safer, easier, and more reliable connection to shore power. Now, on the RV side, this 30-amp female smart plug connector snaps straight into your smart plug inlet. So, what that means for you is no twisting, no wrestling with locking rings or guessing how to line things up. This plug locks in with these side levers that you see right here, and they click into place so you know that it's secure, even in the dark.
There's really, there's no way to plug this in the incorrect way, so it's gonna be a very simple, secure connection when you plug this in. Inside, a built-in clamp's gonna take the weight of the cord, so that's gonna protect the wiring and connection points. And as you saw, this does come with a protective cap for when that's not in use. Now, on the campground end, the standard 30-amp male plug is gonna connect to the shore power outlet just like a traditional RV plug. So, when everything is hooked up in, you do have a blue LED light on the smart plug side that's going to let you know the power is flowing.
Now, one of the big advantages of SmartPlug is performance and safety. And the plug face seals tightly to keep out moisture and the flat electrical pins are gonna give more contact area than curved pins on twist-lock plugs. So, more contact means less electrical resistance, which helps reduce heat buildup, which is a common cause of shore power failures. The materials are marine-grade stainless steel components and nickel-plated brass pins, and tin wires all work together to resist corrosion, plus the durable UV and heat-resistant VALOX resin housing. It's built to hold up in tough environments, whether you're camping in extreme climates or just using it near water.
I wanted to point out here that on the shore power side, you do have a little flip-out handle. Hopefully you can see that there. It's going to allow you to easily pull that out, and then that just snaps back in. So, overall, you're really getting a heavy-duty, 30-foot-long, 30-amp, 125-volt smart cover, SmartPlug Power Cable, rather, that's gonna be easier to use, more secure, and more reliable than traditional twist-lock setups. And as you can see, this is finished all in black.
If you have any other questions about this or anything else that we have here at etrailer, don't hesitate to reach out. We wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name's Andy, thank you for joining me.
