Sunrise to Sunset: 23-Day Eagle Nest Progress! 🦅 Rowe Sanctuary | explore.org 10-11-26

Описание: A great day of nest building and special moments on the Platte River! This 7:25 highlight opens with stunning pre-sunrise colors before transitioning to another active morning at the cottonwood tree. They seem to be slowing down a bit with the nest work as we get deeper into autumn, taking things a little easier every couple of days. Watch as the resident bald eagle pair works delivering soft fluff and fresh nesting materials to the structure, even sharing a brief moment of domestic attitude along the way. 🦅🪹

As the afternoon fades, we get a great view of the sunset over the shallow river channels. An adorable evening when the camera operator zooms in closer on the eagles spending time on the shoreline. Listen for their vocals during a bonding moment, capped off by the gorgeous twilight colors. Be sure to stick around until the very end for an amazing side-by-side comparison showing just how much progress this dedicated pair has made on their nest structure over the last 23 days! 😲

🌿 ABOUT THIS CAMERA:
Watch the Sandhill Crane migration along the Platte River in Nebraska. This vital five-mile stretch of river at Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary serves as one of the most densely populated roosts in the world, hosting up to 200,000 cranes at the height of the season. For the most dramatic viewing, tune in during the early mornings to witness the legendary "liftoff"—where tens of thousands of cranes take flight in a cloud that blots out the sky—or join us in the evening as they return to the shallow sandbars to dance and socialize against the setting sun. While the peak migration is a seasonal masterpiece, this camera remains an evergreen window into the Great Plains ecosystem, offering a serene look at the resident wildlife and changing river landscape throughout the year, brought to you by explore.org.
