Pepper foot rot is a devastating condition that affects black pepper (P. nigrum) vines all over the world. Caused by the pathogen Phytophthora capsici, the infection leads to great losses in yield and soil health. Current measures are ineffective and unsustainable, driving the need for an innovative solution.
PhytClub addresses this issue through targeted gene silencing, by implementing small interfering RNA (siRNA) as part of a potent nanoformulation.
