If you’re living with HIV, getting linked to care as soon as possible is the key to a long, healthy life.
When taken as prescribed, treatment can make HIV undetectable and untransmittable (U=U). Undetectable means that the levels of virus in your body are so low that you will not pass HIV to others through sex.
You’re not alone. Talk to an HIV care navigator about support services available to you.

TRANSCRIPT:
Pill fatigue is real. Grabbing my medication, grabbing my bottle, reminding me every time that I was living with HIV. But slow down for a second. Really focus in on what is it that you need.
If you stop taking the medication, you can become detectable again.
Following my treatment, as provided by my provider is keeping me at an undetectable status.
So why is that important? For a person who is living with HIV, that means that the virus is not only keeping me so that I’m not transmitting the virus, but it's keeping it suppressed. My body feels healthy, because it's taking care of itself.
So if you keep up with your treatment regimen, you can stay undetectable.
