2020 BMW X6 M SPIED TESTING AT THE NÜRBURGRING

Описание: During the Industry Pool at the Nürburgring I have filmed the 2020 BMW X6 M testing on track.

BMW is going to launch an all-new generation of its larger coupe-styled X6 SUV (which it calls SAC, short for Sport Activity Coupe) and, as with the current model, it will also be available as a hot X6M with the full Motorsport treatment.

That means it will be powered by a development of the current 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 that powers the M5, although it’s been suggested it may get more power, while from a visual standpoint, expect it to look like an X6 on steroids, with bold flared wheel arches, aggressive bumpers, side skirts and rims, as well as the trademark exhausts in the back.

We can already see from this latest batch of X6M spyshots that BMW is not straying from the winning SAC formula much with the next installment. All camouflaged like that, it looks like a mere evolution of the current car - it does look like its overhangs are a bit shorter, and the shape of the fastback rear end seems different, but we can’t yet tell just how different they will be.

Up front, the design will be dominated by the big twin-kidney grille which appears to be taller and more upright than that of the current X6M.
The Motorsport model will also get a unique front bumper with large intakes that will complement its more bulging front fenders.

Down the sides, it will feature a more aggressive side skirt design, unique rims (probably measuring 20- or 21-inch), as well as an air vent located right behind the front wheel. At the rear, the X6M will look wider and more planted than the regular X6, with help to achieve this stance thanks to the wider wheel arches and wider tires.

The look will be completed by the beefy quad exhausts which are a unique to M division cars and will really set the X6M apart from other X6 variants.

So far we’ve seen exactly zero photos of the next-gen X6's interior, but let’s face it - it will be for the most part identical to what we can see in the already revealed X5.
What will set the X6M apart from lesser X6s will be unique dials, a unique steering wheel and gear selector, as well as special bucket seats and plenty of carbon fiber trim all around the cabin.

A big departure for the X6 and X6M is the fact that analog instrument cluster will be ditched in favor of a fully-digital unit that includes a 12.3-inch high-res screen, and we’ve yet to see what the Motorsport equivalent of these new virtual dials looks like yet.

Powering the next X6M is a revised and improved S63 4.4-liter, twin-turbo, V-8 that makes 592 horsepower in the current X5.
It is believed that the unit will be tweaked to exceed 600 horsepower in the X5M and X6M, but it’s not yet clear by exactly how much.

All-wheel drive will be standard and the transmission used will probably be the same eight-speed M Steptronic that the manufacturer uses in the current model.

Performance should be improved over the current model which can sprint to sixty in just over 4 seconds, and it tops out at an electronically limited 155 mph.
