Five minutes at Bronwydd Arms

Описание: This video takes short look at the crossing,Signalbox and signalling works on going since the railway extended from Bronwydd Arms towards Carmarthen , previously the Signalbox acted to control the running around operations and the loc yard and sidings and everything beyond the level crossing was just a long siding till the railway extended.

With the extension the railway now has plans to bring the old run round points and the signal mid platform back to a more useful position towards the crossing end to effect better operations and a possible passing loop.

On the day of the visit ,whilst being closed I was kindly let have a look around by a young chap who told me quite a bit about the plans and operations and our grateful thanks to the staff and Volunteers at the GWILLI railway for being allowed to see how they’ve progressed since our last visit .

Again, it’s worth noting that the railway allows visits to the Signalbox on operational days as they operate a small visitor area at the door end which allows visitors to discuss operations and see how it all works with the signaller on duty, a nice touch to bring the public into the heritage world.
