At Sundance premiere with Elle Fanning, Peter Dinklage says he won't be in 'Thrones' spinoff series

Tyrion Lannister won't be returning to Westeros after "Game of Thrones" ends.
Peter Dinklage said Sunday (21 JAN. 2018) at the Sundance Film Festival that he's "in the middle" of filming the final season of HBO's much-watched series now, and he won't be involved in any of the spinoff series being discussed by HBO executives.
"I'm not going to be a part of any spinoffs, but I heard there's some talk of prequels or something. I don't know - they sort of are figuring that out. But I do not believe I will be a part of it," Dinklage said.
Dinklage spoke at the premiere of "I Think We're Alone Now," an intimate drama set during the apocalypse that also stars Elle Fanning.
Fanning had met up with her older sister Dakota at the festival in Park City, Utah.
"It was nice to be in the snow. We only had one day together here, because she had to go back. But yeah, we just enjoyed the snow, basically. We didn't have a lot of time to do a lot of things, but I got to see her show, which I hadn't seen before, so very proud," Fanning said.
The 19-year-old actress said it was the first time she'd done a movie that starred essentially just two actors.
And she called 48-year-old Dinklage "one of my closest friends."
"We text all the time and try to see each other when we can, and he's, like, the funniest person. Like, the inside jokes and, like, memories that we have on this set are, like, incredible. It was... Even though it was kind of... We were in the apocalypse, but the set was, like, the most happy, laughing, fun set that I've ever had, I think, so it was great," Fanning said.
The Sundance Film Festival runs through 28 January.
