I took a full 2 months off CrossFit.

No WODs. No heavy lifting. No box jumps. Just life, family time, and a bit of a breather while I caught up with the business.

Walked back into the gym fully expecting to feel like I was starting from scratch...
but surprisingly, the strength was still there. Barbell felt good. Technique hadn’t vanished. Muscle memory’s a beautiful thing.

The only thing that took a bit of a hit? Cardio.

That engine definitely needs a little tuning, but it’s coming back quick.

Later that day, I swapped the barbell for my daughter going horse riding and headed out to the stables to watch my daughter ride.

She’s doing lessons twice a week now and absolutely thriving. Her balance, confidence and love for horses is next-level.
