We're excited to announce the official opening of the latest addition to the Bakalian enterprise: Bakelab, a professional hub dedicated to the perfection of baking using locally milled flour.
Bakalian BakeLab is the first of its kind in the region, filling the void for a much-needed professional baking school in the Lebanon. Our goal is to provide our industry partners with a creative and technical support system that will allow them to innovate, and raise the bar of professional baking in the country.
Bakelab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology from Bongard and VMI (France) and over a century of milling expertise. We will be offering consultancy work for startups and existing businesses, quality control, research and development, as well as workshops and masterclasses with local and visiting masterchefs. 👩🏻🍳
For our opening event, we organized an open house and live baking 🥐 🥖 demonstrations at our new facilities in Karantina. Over the course of four days professional bakers, and masterchefs poured into the lab to attend the bread and pastry workshops given by visiting French masters Fabrice Guery and Frédéric Kerbérènes.
Attendees included bakers, chefs, as well as owners and managers of bakeries, restaurants, and hotels
Bakalian BakeLab is now open for professionals.
