How many people want to go to college but can't? What would happen if you changed the colleges experience to serve those people?

It turns out that the underserved low end of the market is much larger than you might think. Take Southern New Hampshire University. In 2010 SNHU was a small college with about 3000 students, 500 of which were only taking online classes. President Paul LeBlanc wondered why students would pay money for an inferior classroom experience.

So he hired Jobs-to-be-done and customer insights expert Bob Moesta to interview students, and discovered five reasons students wanted to attend college online.
