If you follow the normal song arrangement that a majority of hit songs have

Intro - Verse - Pre Chorus - Chorus - Verse - Pre Chorus - Chorus - Bridge - Chorus

Then you only actually have to write 4 different melodies or rhythms for those sections...

Verse
Pre Chorus
Chorus
And 1 bridge

This is because you get to use the same verse melody for both verses

The same pre and chorus gets repeated and then

Generally your bridge is going to be your best melody you didn't use in the pre or chorus. These songwriting tips will help you write better music.
