Описание: Our days in the coldest time - the winter wonderland of Lapland holds a landscape of pristine, untouched beauty with meters thick snow. In this episode of Call of the North we journey through the heart of winter in Scandinavia. From the serene silence of Finnish Lapland to the surreal beauty of Swedish Lapland, we experience the magic of the polar night and the mesmerizing dance of the Northern Lights - the Aurora Borealis. Our road trip takes us from frozen lakes to snow-covered forests, where we encounter countless reindeers. Starting from Germany, we leave our transporter at home and come in a car more suited for the cold in the North. In Stockholm we fit the car with studded tires and move on with a ferry crossing to Turku in Finland, followed by a night train ride to Rovaniemi, Northern Finland. We spent Christmas in Finnish Lapland together with our friends and celebrate it in the Finnish way, enjoy countless saunas, cold plunges and simply appreciate the moment of being here. On good days we end up hiking and camping in the freezing cold but extremely beauty of Riisitunturi National Park, a real gem! In Swedish Lapland we venture through the wilds of the fjells on snowmobiles and have a tiny cabin in the middle of a frozen lake! Passing through Kiruna and Abisko we end in the picturesque village of Henningsvær.
