Australian Poetry Slam is one of the largest performing writers programs in the world. Each year over 1000 poets enter heats in small towns and urban centres. After State Finals they meet up in Sydney where one writer is chosen on the Sydney Opera House stage to tour the Asia-Pacific with their poems, stories, lyrics and monologues.
Sam Turnbull was chosen by a Byron Bay Writers Festival audience, to represent her community in the APS - NSW Final on Oct 10, 2014.
