Описание: Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has dissolved the Lower House of parliament, paving the way for a snap election that will be held on Feb 8. The move comes just three months into Ms Takaichi's term. She's banking on her popularity to help the ruling Liberal Democratic Party regain ground after major losses in recent years. However, opposition leaders have criticised the move, saying it would delay implementation of a US$115 billion budget needed to fund key economic measures. Michiyo Ishida reports from Tokyo.
