Description: Not very much need be said about the bard of Bengal and his vision for the future. Even when his country was enslaved, he dreamt of the day when India would be free. This is the idealistic vision of his for the future. He did not know where his country would go- in which direction it would veer but these are his thoughts. The wisdom here holds not just true of India but holds true for every society fighting discrimination and prejudice. It addresses all humanity and as is native to Tagore's poetry, uses powerful figures of speech and emotive language to paint an immortal picture of people separated by geography yet bound together by the same dreams of liberation of thought and liberation from fear. A masterpiece from a polymath and one of the(unquestionably) greatest poets of the last century. It is every citizen's responsibility to charter what the future course of independence shall be.
