Disclaimer: I am aware that the bait nets that we refer to as “dillies” in the video are banned in every state except Queensland (the state that this video takes place). I acknowledge the potential environmental impact of these bait nets and took necessary steps to reduce the risk of harming animals. This included: checking the nets frequently, placing nets in locations that were free of snags and removing the net during nighttime to avoid interfering with nocturnal animals (e.g. platypus, rakali (native water rat)).
