A few months ago I was fortunate enough to get a factory tour of the Dr Martens factory in Northampton, UK. It was amazing. I couldn't believe how in around an hour a pair of boots going from pieces of leather and rubber to a famous iconic boot.
In the UK factory they make all the vintage range of which they make around 300/350 pairs per day. In a year, they turn out over 100,000 pairs of boots out of the factory.
