A great jazz/blues tune, "Sugar"
This lesson will be looking at 3 important areas you need to know for any jazz standard.
1) The Head (Melody) - There is a fun16th note triplet rhythm throughout the melody, that lays well on guitar.
2) The Comping (Chords) - I wrote out some voicings with simple rhythms, leaving you an opportunity to come up with some of your own comping rhythms.
3) The Solo - I used the 16th note triplet rhythm throughout the solo similar to the head, make sure to listen to the original, as George Benson plays the guitar solo.
