This week's episode of India's World analyses India-Mauritius Bilateral Relations. India and Mauritius have signed the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation and Partnership Agreement. This is the first trade agreement signed by India with a country in Africa. The Agreement provides preferential access to Mauritius for the bulk of the trade and also for many aspirational items for the future into the Indian market of over a billion people. The Agreement is a limited agreement, which will cover Trade in Goods, Rules of Origin, Trade in Services, Technical Barriers to Trade, Dispute Settlement, Movement of Natural Persons, Telecom, Financial Services, Customs Procedures and Cooperation in other areas.
