*SEE Historical Notes below* The late 1800's saw a number of advances in firearms technology. One of the most unique rifles was the straight pull, bolt action, Mannlicher M95. The M95 would later be converted to the M95/30, and this video is a brief overview of that converted carbine. There are many interesting modifications to this M95/30 over its lifespan, and subtle differences. This is a brief overview of the rifle as seen in the video. Feel free to comment on anything that I may have missed!
**Historical Notes** Currently in the vast collector world, most of these carbines are generally known as the M95/30. That designation is not historically accurate. The technical nomenclature for the rifle displayed through most of the video is an M.95/34, according to the Bulgarian M95 Manual. The features of the carbine are representative of Bulgarian military issue. The M.95/30 is a specific nomenclature for the M95 carbine used in the Austrian Military. The Hungarian designation is M95/31M (H displayed on the barrel). For a great amount of knowledge, join the "Steyr m95 Owners Group" on Facebook.
