This video follows the highs and lows of my 2025 attempt at The Lap, a 47 miles ultra running circuit around Lake Windemere in the Lake District.
It is called the 'Beautiful Ultra' because of its stunning views and varied trails.
The event is brilliantly organised and fantastic as an introduction to ultra running.The course is very well marked and the food stations fabulous. But, it is not easy. 47 miles, 2600m of ascent and some muddy technical trail with steep ascents and descents.
My channel is all about backpacking wild camping and trail running / ultra running.
