Описание: सिन्धुलीको गोलान्जोर गाउँपालिका–माथिल्लो आलेगाउँका लोकबहादुर आले मगर बिहान भालेको डाँकोसँगै उठ्छन्। गाउँमा बनेको मोटरबाटो हुँदै हिँडेर मर्निङ वाक गर्छन् र चिया पिएपछि घर वरपरको जुनार बारीमा समय बिताउँछन्।

उनी पञ्चौदी आधारभूत विद्यालय, तिनखरी डाँडामा शिक्षक हुन्। बिहान विद्यालय पुग्दा घण्टी बज्छ र कक्षाकोठामा उनका विद्यार्थीहरू उनलाई पर्खिरहेका हुन्छन्। किताब हातमा भए पनि उनको मन विद्यालयमुनि फैलिएको जुनार बारीमै हुन्छ।

विद्यालयको समय सकिएपछि उनी फेरि बारीमा लाग्छन्। उनले हुर्काएका ६ सयभन्दा बढी जुनार र सुन्तलाका बोटबाट वार्षिक १५ देखि १७ लाख रुपैयाँ आम्दानी हुन्छ। पहिले यही जमिनमा कोदो र मकै लगाउँदा घर चलाउन गाह्रो थियो। बुवाले रोपेका २०–२५ बोट जुनारबाट सुरु भएको खेती आज ठूलो बारी बनेको छ।

खेती गर्दा किरा लाग्ने, बोट सुक्ने जस्ता समस्या आए। तर २०७२ सालमा सुरु भएको जुनार जोन र सुपर जोन कार्यक्रमको प्राविधिक सहयोगले खेती जोगियो।

लोकबहादुरले विद्यालयसँगै रहेको सात रोपनी जमिनलाई सिकाइको थलो बनाए। “एक विद्यार्थी, एक जुनारको बोट” अभियान सुरु गरे। अहिले विद्यालय परिसरमा १६५ वटा जुनारका बोट छन्। शुक्रबार विद्यार्थीहरू खेतबारीमा झार निकाल्ने, मल हाल्ने काम गर्छन्।

जुनार बिक्रीबाट विद्यालयका लागि १० लाख रुपैयाँभन्दा बढीको कोष बनेको छ। यही पैसाले डेस्क–बेन्च मर्मत र शैक्षिक सामग्री किन्ने गरिएको छ।

लोकबहादुर आले मगरले शिक्षा र कृषि सँगै अघि बढ्न सक्छ भन्ने उदाहरण प्रस्तुत गरेका छन्।
Lokbahadur Ale Magar of Golanjore Rural Municipality, Upper Alegaun in Sindhuli, wakes up with the crowing of roosters every morning. He goes for a morning walk along the road that has reached the village and, after having tea, spends time in his mandarin orchard near his home.

He is a teacher at Panchoudi Basic School in Tinkhari Danda. When he reaches the school in the morning, the bell rings and students wait for him in the classroom. Although he holds books in his hands, his mind often wanders to the mandarin orchard spread below the school.

After school hours, he returns to the orchard. From more than 600 mandarin and orange trees that he has nurtured, he earns around 1.5 to 1.7 million rupees annually. Earlier, he used to grow millet and maize on the same land, but the income was not enough to run the household. What began with 20–25 mandarin saplings planted by his father has now turned into a large orchard.

During the early years, he faced many problems such as insect infestation and drying of trees. However, technical support from the Mandarin Zone and Super Zone programs launched in 2015 helped protect the orchard.

Lokbahadur also turned more than seven ropanis of land under the school into a learning space. He started the campaign “One Student, One Mandarin Tree.” At present, 165 mandarin trees are growing within the school premises. On Fridays, students work in the orchard—removing weeds, applying manure, and observing plant health.

By selling mandarins, the school has built a fund of over one million rupees. This money is used to repair desks and benches and to buy teaching materials.

Through his work, Lokbahadur Ale Magar has shown that education and agriculture can go hand in hand, setting an inspiring example for students and the community.
