A special feature is the bear cave below the Ebenalp, a karst cave in the limestone, at the end of which a hut is used to exhibit the teeth and claws of cave bears. A hiking trail leads through the cave, past Wildkirchli to the Aescher mountain inn, which is impressively built on the rock under a steep cliff and was voted the most beautiful inn in the world (by National Geographics).
Eine Besonderheit ist die unterhalb der Ebenalp gelegene Bärenhöhle, eine Karsthöhle im Kalkstein, an deren Ende in einer Hütte Zähne und Krallen von Höhlenbären ausgestellt sind. Durch die Höhle führt ein Wanderweg, vorbei an Wildkirchli zum Berggasthaus Aescher, das beeindruckend unter einem steilen Felsabsturz an den Fels gebaut ist und zum schönsten Gasthaus weltweit gekürt wurde (von National Geographics)
