There are a lot of ways to grab your IFR clearance. The easiest way of course is at a towered field... Simply call up clearance delivery or ground and copy away. But what about at a "pilot controlled airport" (commonly called an uncontrolled airport)
Well if you're within range of your local approach controller sitting on the ground you can easily call them up. However what if you're at a fairly remote private airport? In todays video I'll literally take you inside my flight lesson with my student Tim who's working on his Instrument Rating.
This is Tim's first time even copying down and reading back a clearance (talk about putting him on the spot) but he does a great job and I'm able to bring up some neat teaching points to share with you guys
