Dalek I - Dalek I Love You - Destiny (KD Remix 2025)

Описание: This is a fan-made remix of the classic minimal synth track by Dalek I/Dalek I Love You who were from the Wirral, Liverpool. Dalek I Love You was released in 1980 (45 years ago!). I have done this remix following a request from a listener called Glenn Austin. Thanks for the request Glenn.

There were many fantastic bands that were from Liverpool in the late 1970s and early 1980s, namely The Games, This Final Frame, The Box of Toys etc. Dalek I Love You have left a rich legacy of very important new wave material. Check out Compass Kum'pas.

According to Wikipedia the name of the band was a compromise - David Balfe wanted to call the band "The Dalek" (after the Doctor Who villains), while Alan Gill wanted to call the band "Darling, I Love You".

Again according to Wikipedia, Phonogram chose to shorten the name of the band to "Dalek I" for their first few releases. Absolutely no idea why, but record companies are capable of crazy things and crazy ideas (e.g. changing chord structures).

I did try to contact Alan Gill about this remix, but I was unable to make contact.
