Join me and my friends on semester at sea during neptune day where students shave their heads (BALD), get fish guts poured on their heads, kiss a fish, and transform from lame...incompetent pollywogs to shellbacks! This is part of an old marine tradition (i believe) and all activities are voluntary - its just the way we celebrate hitting zero degrees + crossing the equator! I am so lucky to have met the most amazing friends who I can joke around with easily and I'm so incredibly grateful for the opportunities bestowed upon me through Semester at Sea.
