Heritage Trail Iowa - Fastest Known Time

Описание: I've been wanting to run the entire Heritage Trail in Iowa from Dyersville to Dubuque, but at about 30 miles, it's never quite fit into a marathon training schedule. But with no marathons to train for this fall, this summer was the perfect time. Originally, this trail was about 25 miles of crushed limestone. But, over time, the trail has expanded (via blacktop, unfortunately). I thought this run would be about 29.3 miles. But Bee Branch Creek expansion in Dubuque seems to have extended the trail even further.

I still think the official heritage trail should be the original ~25 miles of crushed limestone (my time for that portion was about 3:15). But I figured I would conquer the whole thing, as of July 23, 2020 (it looks like there may be further expansion).

30 miles. 3h58m. 7:57/mi.

There are several colleges that have XC teams in the area. And i'm sure there are many other runners who have come to experience this trail. While I believe I have the fastest known time, I am sure that someone has done it faster at some point. If you know of someone who's run it faster, put a link to the time down below.
