In this video, I provide a framework for how to understand Scorpio in astrology, first linking the sign to its corresponding planet: Pluto. Scorpio represents a series of psychological needs, and Pluto, acts to execute these needs. I refer to this as the Scorpio-Pluto matrix. Scorpio characteristics and the Scorpio personality profile are rooted in a series of psychic needs. Scorpio strengths and weaknesses come about as a result of the extent to which these psychic needs are integrated/unintegrated, balanced/imbalanced.

These are not just confined to the “Scorpio sun sign.” As I explain in the video, Scorpio energy is an archetypal energy, and we speak of “Scorpio sign characteristics” when this archetypal energy merges with a human psyche. Additionally, much of this applies to Pluto, and when Pluto makes important aspects to inner planets, especially the Sun and Moon. Pluto carries executes and attempts to fulfill Scorpio’s needs.

Central to understanding Scorpio traits and characteristics, central to understanding the Scorpio zodiac sign, is appreciating that Scorpio is seeking emotional security, through management and integration of the emotional body. What to know about Scorpio: emotions are the gateway through which Scorpio attains spiritual mastery. More than just a list of Scorpio keywords, in this video, I attempt to paint a rich picture of the Scorpio-infused psyche.
