Dear friends

After that I opened this new serie with the singing version, I am so happy posting the instrumental version of this beautiful Theme and the 2. video of the serie DIGUIM MINEIRÔ, UAI! This is a tribut to the Brazilian State of Minas Gerais. I am not from there, but I love its culture, its music, the people and so on. And for me they have the best music in Brazil, a kind of music that I have been playing and appreciating since I was a young boy, already playing my Flute and singing at the age of 13.

As always, I make a singing version of it and some weeks or months later I put an instrumental version. I love opening 3 voices for flutes, saxophones or voices and here you can hear the result of it. I am so happy!

A LITTE ABOUT THE VIDEO SERIES: I started making videos when the pandemic started and I saw many friends and musicians making videos and lives. Than I decided also to make this and I cannot stop with it because it became a big passion and I love it.
The original idea was always to have some friends with me, but people only promise and don't play. Because of that I decide to play everything by myself. And I must tell that almost always it is a lot of fun. But of course also a lot of work.
You prepare everything, press record and must run to the next room. Sometimes you realize that the cable or the headphone was not there and so on... :-)
I made videos with friends playing my CHALLENGES NO SOL FA Nr. 1, 2 and 3, some friends playing in the serie PLAYING WITH THE SONGBOOK, MAKING MUSIC WITH MY FRIENDS, ETC. Maybe someday I will make the serie MAKING LIVE MUSIC WITH MY FRIENDS using live recordings that I get from some friends in the concerts. And now the rich MUSIC of MINAS GERAIS!
So, I am not planning to stop playing, filming and recording :-)

ABOUT THIS SONG: I cannot remember the year and also if I was already playing saxophone (I believe yes?), so this was around 1983, playing in many bar in CAMPINAS, SP together with my brother Ricardo. He had a very rich repertoire of MPB, many of the songs I never listened to the original, I knew only our version. And this song was one of those songs that we used to play. At the end of the video you can see the paper that he used to sing with.
So, I spent many years playing and singing many song by MILTON NASCIMENTO, I also made another video with the very famous song CANÇÃO DA AMÉRICA that you can easily find it here. I recorded that to celebrate my friendship of good school friends in Campinas, our group from students from the famous scholl CULTO Ä CIÊNCIA.
Than, this year I was in Brazil for family private reasons and on January 25th we made a family party, playing and singing, a homage to my mother Salette, that passed away 2 years ago.
In that afternoon I finally met the Brazilian singer Caroline Artêmis in person and we sung this song together. For me it was the niceste moment of this trip.
Caroline encouraged me to create this serie and here we are.

A big thanks also that I could use the picture idea of the Duo QUEIJO COM GOIABADA. I produced this photo with a swiss cheese and a Brazilian Goiabada. Do you know any better combination? Bom dimais da conta esse trem, sô! :-)

Besides that I love the old tradition of singing Bossa Nova or MPB in 3 or 4 voices and this is what I made here. I intend to keep using this in many of my future recordings and videos.
