FLX Motocamping Tour: Exploring the History & High Roads of Upstate New York

Описание: Join me on a 2-day motorcycle adventure through the "High Roads" of the Finger Lakes starting in Rochester, NY. From the curves of the Finger Lakes high roads to the history of Glenn Curtiss and the falls of Watkins Glen, this is one of my favorite Western New York riding routes.

I recently got back into riding on a 2019 BMW F750GS and decided to spend a late-September weekend revisiting a classic 2003 "Rider Magazine" route I found online. This trip takes us from Rochester through Canandaigua, Naples, Hammondsport, Keuka, and down into the "Cathedral of Speed" at Watkins Glen for a night of moto-camping.

On Day 1, we wind through the Finger Lakes, visit the curves of Italy Valley Road and visit the Curtiss Museum to see the mechanical DNA of American motorcycling. On Day 2, we explore the Watkins Glen Gorge, the glass-blowing town of Corning, and find some hidden seasonal dirt roads on the way to Canisteo and Conesus before finishing at the iconic Tom Wahl's in Avon.
