Originally headed to meet a group in Windsor but looped down to the southern-most section of these contiguous trails of NW MA to study Native American modified boulders (most not pictured here).

⚠️ Beware of lake slush, esp. with warming temps & short tracks. Sleds got stuck in slush on Cheshire Lake & hit slush yesterday on Ashfield Lake. Slush tips: https://intrepidsnowmobiler.com/best-...

⚠️ Beware of deep slush @Camp Howe Beach spring on DAR Lower Highland Lake. Someone recently trenched here.

⚠️ Had to build up snow to cross the laid-over concrete Jersey Barrier on Little River Bridge @CH05-CH06. If unseen, this hazard could flip your sled off the bridge, rip off an a-arm or worse.

⚠️ The section up Hickory Mountain on 1.8 mile CH06 - WT01 is an ungroomed steep narrow sidehill tightrope with minimal traffic. Prolly a tricky recovery if one slides off-trail down the mountain side.
