Opening/Closing To UFC 324 On Shaw PPV/Rogers PPV/Sportsnet PPV (January 24, 2026).

Описание: On January 24, 2026, me, ‪@RalphRaccoon1980‬, ‪@BertRaccoon1980‬, ‪@GraceTheCat2000‬, ‪@KnowledgeNetworkArchives‬, and ‪@RileyGamerTV3‬ went out for dinner at Boston Pizza to celebrate Riley finishing Semester 1 at his school, which was, in Riley's words, his "hardest semester ever" and we thought a family dinner at a restaurant would be a nice treat for Riley. Some of us knew that UFC 324 would be playing and Ralph, Grace, and Riley wanted me to record the opening and closing on Shaw PPV/Rogers PPV/Sportsnet PPV when they happened and upload them to YouTube. Also, if you're wondering why I said Shaw PPV in the title of this video, well the Boston Pizza location I recorded this video in currently has Shaw Basic Cable. After seeing Grace, Ralph, and Bert's UFC PPV Opening/Closing videos, not only did Riley, Grace, Ralph, and Bert notice the Canadian PPV changes, but so did I. So basically, the Shaw/Rogers/Sportsnet PPV pre-event schedule went through some changes this year. At 4pm PST, UFC Countdown airs, at 5pm PST, UFC Weigh-in airs, and at 6pm PST, the live UFC PPV event airs. It used to be UFC Countdown on at 6pm PST then the live UFC PPV event at 7pm PST, and I believe that the Weigh-ins aired at I think it was 4 : 30pm PST. The UFC Previews have been discontinued due to the preview show only being needed for the PPV model. UFC Preview used to play twice during the pre-event hours, now there are only two hours of pre-event programming. When UFC Countdown airs on Rogers/Sportsnet PPV, they show around 5 seconds of the "There is no program currently scheduled to air" screen, then the program begins. The funny and kinda stupid thing is that part of the beginning of the episode gets cut out. However, the "Thank you for choosing Pay Per View" screen still comes on, but as soon as the UFC Weigh-in comes on, the screen saying thanks for choosing Pay Per View doesn't show up at the beginning of the Weigh-in broadcast, it just goes straight to the beginning of the Weigh-in broadcast without any messages to start the program. And another thing, since Paramount+ now broadcasts anything UFC related in America, the commentators at the desk talk on camera before and after the Weigh-in event takes place making the broadcast longer than the usual half an hour making the broadcast go for an hour and 15 to 17 minutes. When it was 7pm and time for the PPV event to start, the commentators get cut off (as shown at the beginning of this video). Back when the Weigh-ins were around half an hour, A picture of an advertisement for the UFC PPV event for that night would be on screen until (I believe it was) the encore presentation of UFC Preview would air. "Tunnel Vision by Jason Davis" would play in the background just like I believe at the end of most PPV events on Shaw/Rogers/Sportsnet PPV. If Rogers could improve this schedule to more align with how the UFC is broadcasted, either they get rid of the UFC Weigh-ins or move the start time to 3 : 30pm PST and make the broadcast for the Weigh-ins an hour and 30 minutes long. Also, Rogers should put back the 6pm start for UFC Countdown to make the thanks for choosing Pay Per View screen transition to the start of the live event. When the live event begins, the Criminal Prosecution Warning Screen and Bumper For The Numbered Event get replaced by a "CBS Sports Presents UFC On Paramount+" bumper and then the event starts. When the event ends, instead of bidding the viewers (watching on PPV) goodnight, Jon Anik says something like "The Post-Show on Paramount+ Starts Now!" Is the production team forgetting that UFC Numbered events are still on PPV in Canada and other places outside of America?! While Rogers/Sportsnet PPV is trying to sign off for the night, part of the Post-Show can be seen, then blacks out with only audio, seen for around a few seconds, then blacks out with only audio being heard. When a picture of the the UFC logo comes on screen, a loud horn tone can be heard, we then start to hear "Tunnel Vision" play, the screen blacks out again and that horn tone is heard for much longer time than the first time it was heard (unknown if this was an accident at the Rogers/Sportsnet PPV control booth or not). That horn noise was so loud that that the woman next to me was plugging her ears as well as some people behind me. "Tunnel Vision" resumes and the UFC Logo picture stays on screen for the remainder of the broadcast. Apologies if the audio isn't the best, the recordings took place in a bar. Here is some advice for media archiving in a bar: unless it's absolutely necessary, don't media archive in a bar. Anyway, please go check out my son's new video as well as Grace's.
