Viewtiful Joe 2 is a side-scrolling action platformer starring a bizarre superhero and his bizarre girlfriend in a bizarre story about a Black Emperor and something called the Rainbow Oscars. Hey, no one said Clover/Platinum made conventional games. Viewtiful Joe 2 is built on a complex combat system based on both counterattacks and the manipulation of time. Joe can speed and slow the clock at will, which has different effects on his environment. And his enemies. Viewtiful Joe 2 is a gorgeous game with a bold style and truly unique gameplay.
