In this video we cover the spectrum on Sony ZV1 stabilisation with a how to guide broken into 5 levels.

We assess how good the Sony ZV1 built in stabilisation (IBIS) is for vlogging from the lowest steadyshot off setting through to standard steadyshot and active steadyshot stabiliztion at level 1.

At level 2 we show how a wide angle lens adapter enhances the built in image stablisations to give stable vlogging and a wider field of view

At level 3 we show how a cheap and light tripod, grip extension or selfie stick can further enhance the built in Sony ZV1 steadyshot stabilisation

At level 4 we examine Sony ZV1 gyroscopic (gyro) stablisation using the free Sony Catalyst Browse software for detailed camera movement and shake compensation

At level 5 we test how good the Sony ZV1 stabilisation is with a gimbal, in this case the Zhiyun Crane M2 including testing the Sony ZV1 with the Go mode of the Zhiyun Crane M2

In conclusion the active steadyshot built into the Sony ZV1 can generate fairly stable video footage but crops in to quite a tight angle. The Sony ZV1 with a wide angle lens adapter or using a tripod grip extension mitigates some of this allowing active stabilisation and a wide angle view. Sony Catalyst Browse works with the Sony ZV1 to provide some high potential gyroscopic image stabilisation, but ultimately the Sony ZV1 with the Zhiyun Crane M2 offers the best stabilzation experience and smoothest footage
