Sheriff's deputies said that three DeLand Middle School students face felony charges after they were caught with plans to shoot members of their school as well as themselves.
Deputies said the three students, all 13 years old, searched for weapons and posted threats online. The three students' names have not been released due to their age, police said.
Investigators said that a fellow student who received violent messages from the trio and contacted authorities. The two boys and one girl were then questioned by authorities, police said.
"It freaks you out because you just never know," DeLand Middle School student Kaitlyn Watkins, 13, said.
