One of the popular theatrical plays by the late Loret Tsegaye Gabre-Medhin was "HaHu BeSidist Wer." In this play, in 1966 Ethiopian Calendar, one of the characters was "Semu Nigus Tassie," played by late Wegayehu Nigatu. This poem, titled "Abate New Yaslekefegn" is a part which is highly acclaimed and remembered as a piece.
